An 11-day journey through the Mexico most tours never reach. Glide through the canals of Xochimilco, cruise the towering Sumidero Canyon, and slow down in the highland town of San Cristóbal de las Casas and the indigenous villages of Chamula and Zinacantán. The turquoise waterfalls of Agua Azul and Misol-Ha lead to the jungle temples of Palenque, before you ring in the New Year in UNESCO-listed Campeche. The journey ends through the Yucatán — Mérida, Chichén Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil and the clifftop ruins of Tulum — with a small group and an expert tour leader all the way.

Mexico City — Xochimilco & City Tour
A guided tour of Mexico City, a photo stop outside the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and a colourful boat ride along the canals of Xochimilco. Lunch at a local restaurant; dinner at the hotel.
Sumidero Canyon & San Cristóbal de las Casas
Fly from Mexico City to Tuxtla Gutiérrez and head straight to the Sumidero Canyon for a motorboat ride between its towering cliffs. Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue up into the highlands to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Dinner at the hotel.
San Juan Chamula & Zinacantán
Visit the indigenous Tzotzil village of San Juan Chamula and discover Zinacantán, then return to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a free evening to wander the cobbled streets. Dinner at the hotel.
Agua Azul & Misol-Ha Waterfalls to Palenque
An early start for the turquoise cascades of Agua Azul, then the waterfall of Misol-Ha, before continuing to Palenque. Lunch at a local restaurant; dinner at the hotel.
Palenque — The Great Maya City
A relaxed morning at leisure. At 1 pm, visit Palenque, the most famous of the Maya cities, its temples rising out of the jungle. Lunch at a local restaurant; dinner at the hotel.
Bahía Tortugas & Campeche — New Year's Eve
Drive towards the Gulf coast with a stop at Bahía Tortugas beach for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to the UNESCO-listed walled city of Campeche, and ring in the New Year with a New Year's Eve dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant.
Campeche, Mérida & Valladolid
A panoramic tour of Campeche, then on to Mérida for a city walk. Lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the colonial town of Valladolid. Dinner at the hotel.
Chichén Itzá & Cenote Ik Kil
A full-day excursion to Chichén Itzá, then continue to Cenote Ik Kil for lunch at a local restaurant by the cenote. Return to Valladolid for dinner at the hotel.
Tulum & Cancún
Visit the clifftop Maya site of Tulum overlooking the Caribbean. Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Cancún. Farewell dinner at the hotel.
Departure from Cancún
Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to Cancún airport. Fly to Mexico City and connect to your flight home to Mumbai.

Before 1 October 2026: full refund of the advance paid 1 October – 15 November 2026: 30% of the tour cost retained After 15 November 2026: 100% of the tour cost retained Cancellation charges on issued air tickets apply as per the airline's ticket rules. Visa fees, once applied, are non-refundable.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will the weather be like?
It's the dry season, with 25–32°C days in the Yucatán and on the Gulf coast. The Chiapas highlands around San Cristóbal are cooler and can drop to 5–10°C at night. Pack light layers, sun protection and one warm jacket.
Do Indian passport holders need a visa? What if I already have a US, UK or Schengen visa?
If you hold a valid US, Canadian, UK, Schengen or Japanese visa (or residence permit), Indian passport holders can generally enter Mexico without a separate Mexican visa. Otherwise, a Mexican visa is required. Rules change, so we confirm the current requirement after booking. Visa fees are included in your tour price.
Is airfare included? What does the price include?
Airfare is not included. That covers both international flights and the internal flights (Mexico City–Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Cancún–Mexico City). The price includes: hotels with daily breakfast; meals as listed in the itinerary; visa fees, transfers, excursions and entrance fees; travel insurance up to age 69. GST (5%) and TCS are extra.
How much walking is involved?
Easy: 4–8 km a day, mostly on flat ground, with some steps at Chichén Itzá, Palenque and Tulum. There are no strenuous hikes.
How big is the group?
Between 8 and 12 travellers.
Can I join as a solo traveller?
Absolutely. We can try to match you with a same-gender room-share. If you'd prefer a room to yourself, the single supplement is USD 950.
Is travel insurance included?
Yes, for travellers up to age 69. If you are 70 or older, we help you arrange separate cover.
Can you cater for vegetarian or Jain food?
Yes. Tell us your dietary needs when you book and we brief our hotels and restaurants in advance.
Fitness Level
Easy. Most days involve walking 4–8 km on flat terrain. Climbing the Chichén Itzá site involves some steps. No strenuous hikes.
