Before 1 October 2026: full refund of the tour cost 1 – 15 October 2026: 25% of the tour cost retained 16 October – 15 November 2026: 50% of the tour cost retained After 15 November 2026: 100% of the tour cost retained Airline cancellation charges on issued tickets and visa fees, once paid, are non-refundable.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will the weather be like?
Early December is one of the best times to visit Egypt. Days are around 18–22°C in Cairo and Alexandria and 22–26°C in Luxor and Aswan, with almost no rain. Evenings on the Nile and in the desert turn cool, so pack a warm layer.
Do Indian passport holders need a visa? What if I already have a US, UK or Schengen visa?
Yes. Indian citizens can apply for an Egyptian e-visa online before travel. If you hold a valid US, UK or Schengen visa, you may also be eligible for a visa on arrival. Rules change, so we confirm the current requirement after booking. The visa fee is included in your tour price.
Is airfare included? What does the price include?
Yes. Egypt is one of our trips that includes international and internal airfare. The price also includes: hotels and a five-star Nile cruise; breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout; visa fees, entrance fees, transfers and excursions; travel insurance up to age 69. GST (5%) and TCS are charged extra.
How much walking is involved?
Very manageable: 4–8 km a day at an easy pace on sand, gravel and temple stone, with no hiking and no altitude. Every site is reached by coach, and a good part of the trip is spent relaxing on the Nile cruise.
How big is the group?
Between 10 and 16 travellers. That's small enough for a personal, unhurried pace and big enough to be sociable.
Can I join as a solo traveller?
Absolutely. Many of our travellers come on their own. We can try to match you with a same-gender room-share, or you can book a room to yourself.
Is travel insurance included?
Yes, for travellers up to age 69. If you are 70 or older, we help you arrange separate cover.
Can you cater for vegetarian or Jain food?
Yes. Tell us your dietary needs when you book, whether vegetarian, Jain or no beef, and we brief our hotels, the Nile cruise and our restaurant partners in advance.
Fitness Level
Easy to moderate. Expect 4–8 km of walking a day across sand, gravel and uneven temple stone, with steep ramps and low ceilings inside the tombs. No hiking and no altitude. Shade is limited at Giza, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings, so a hat, sunglasses and closed walking shoes matter more here than fitness does.
Weather Notes
Oct–Apr: 18–22°C in Cairo and Alexandria, 22–26°C in Luxor and Aswan. Almost no rain. Nile and desert evenings turn cool, so bring a warm layer even in December. We do not run Jun–Aug departures, when the southern sites reach 40–45°C with no shade.
