A 15-day small-group tour from India through Alaska's wild fjords and Denali to Canada's turquoise lakes and the Rocky Mountains.
Two of North America's great wildernesses in one 15-day journey from India. In Alaska, cruise the glaciers of Kenai Fjords from Seward, ride the Alaska Railroad and look for bears, moose and caribou in Denali National Park. Then cross into Canada: Whistler and the Peak 2 Peak gondola, the turquoise lakes of Jasper, the Columbia Icefield and Glacier Skywalk on the Icefields Parkway, and finally Lake Louise and Banff.
Most of the scenery is seen from boats, trains, gondolas and a comfortable coach, so no hiking fitness is needed. A small group of 10–16 travellers, at its best in the long summer days.
Your Alaskan adventure begins. On arrival in Anchorage, transfer along the Seward Highway, a National Scenic Byway and one of the most beautiful drives in North America. Pass the Turnagain Arm with its massive tides, the snow-capped Kenai Mountains, turquoise Kenai Lake and the small town of Moose Pass, arriving by evening in the harbour town of Seward.
Overnight in Seward.
Step aboard a full-day Kenai Fjords National Park cruise. Glide past tidewater glaciers, dramatic fjords and rocky cliffs alive with seabirds, watching for sea otters, puffins, sea lions and perhaps humpback whales. Afterwards, transfer by motorcoach to Talkeetna, a quirky frontier town with views of Denali on clear days.
Overnight in Talkeetna.
Start with a true highlight: a scenic flightseeing tour over Denali from Talkeetna. Within minutes you are among rugged peaks, glacier-filled valleys and the Sheldon Amphitheater, flying past the Great Gorge and the mighty Ruth Glacier — every seat has a window. Later, continue by coach to Denali, where wilderness stretches as far as the eye can see.
Overnight in Denali.
Immerse yourself in the vastness of Denali National Park on a Tundra Wilderness Tour across sweeping tundra, rolling valleys and jagged peaks. Keep your binoculars ready — this is prime territory for grizzly bears, moose, Dall sheep, caribou and golden eagles — while your guide shares stories of the park's wildlife and geology.
Overnight in Denali.
Board the legendary Alaska Railroad in Adventure Class. Glass-domed ceilings and open-air viewing platforms make this one of the most scenic train rides in the world, crossing the dizzying Hurricane Gulch trestle and gliding through Broad Pass to arrive in Anchorage by evening.
Overnight in Anchorage.
Bid farewell to Alaska and fly to Vancouver, one of the world's most liveable cities. On arrival, transfer and check in.
Overnight in Vancouver.
Enjoy a short city tour of Vancouver — Stanley Park's green oasis, historic Gastown and the waterfront at Canada Place — with the FlyOver Canada experience and a Capilano visit. Then take the stunning Sea-to-Sky Highway, stopping at Shannon Falls as it thunders down granite cliffs, before continuing to the alpine resort of Whistler for an evening in the village.
Overnight in Whistler.
Ride the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, an engineering marvel floating between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, with glass-bottom cabins and views of glaciers, valleys and forests. The rest of the day is yours — wander alpine trails, relax in the village or try optional activities such as mountain biking or rafting.
Overnight in Whistler.
Leave the buzz of Whistler behind and journey into British Columbia's interior towards Sun Peaks, a tranquil alpine resort with a warm, European feel, and Kamloops — perfect for a relaxed evening of strolling and dining.
Overnight in Kamloops / Sun Peaks.
Cross into the wild beauty of Jasper National Park through the Yellowhead Pass, where towering peaks and alpine valleys open into vast wilderness. Jasper is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its serenity, wildlife and one of the world's largest dark-sky preserves.
Overnight in Jasper.
Explore Jasper's highlights, starting with the deep limestone gorges of Maligne Canyon and the ever-changing waters of Medicine Lake. The highlight is a boat cruise across Maligne Lake to Spirit Island, one of the most photographed places in the Canadian Rockies. The evening is free for optional stargazing or the Jasper SkyTram.
Overnight in Jasper.
Travel from Jasper to Banff along the Icefields Parkway, one of the world's most scenic drives. At the Columbia Icefield, ride the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier, then step onto the Glacier Skywalk, a glass-floored platform high above the valley. Continue to Banff through spectacular Rockies scenery.
Overnight in Banff.
A full-day sightseeing tour of Banff and its surroundings: Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, Tunnel Mountain and the Hoodoos. Continue to Peyto Lake, famous for its striking turquoise water and wolf-head shape, with panoramic views of the surrounding ranges.
